Olympic champion Darya Varfolomeev is one of the main stars of world rhythmic gymnastics.
Idman.biz reports that the German gymnast performed hoop and ball compositions on the first day of the World Cup held in Baku, and then shared her impressions of the performances.
She said that she was happy to be in Baku again and to demonstrate the movements that she would test during the season: "There is still work to be done, so I will continue to improve the compositions. As for the World Cup, I hope to not only win medals, but also perform in a way that my coach and I will like. Let's determine what level we are at now."
Varfolomeev also stated that she has no special preferences in terms of her favorite tools: "I try to show something interesting in every training session, I like them all. Each composition is unique in its own way, so I cannot single out any of them."
It should be noted that at the World Cup held in Baku last year, Varfolomeev won four gold and one bronze medal.
