European Gymnastics (EG) has announced the amount of prizes for the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Cup, which will be held in Burgas, Bulgaria on May 15-18 with the participation of the Azerbaijani team.
Idman.biz reports that the winner of the "Cross Battles" in the individual competition will receive 6,000 euros, the silver medalist 4,000 euros, and the bronze medalist 2,500 euros.
Among the group exercises teams, the winner of the "Cross Battles" will receive 10,000 euros, the second place 6,000 euros, and the third place 4,000 euros.
At the European Cup, 16 gymnasts who reach the final after qualifying in the all-around competition will compete in "Cross Battles" - the loser is eliminated.
According to the regulations, the gymnast who takes the first place in the qualifying stage will face the participant who reached the final from the 16th place in the 1/8 finals, the second gymnast will face the 15th, and so on. Moreover, each participant will only perform in one type of exercise until the final.
The same rule applies to group exercise teams.
