The European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships started today in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
Idman.biz reports that junior teams in group exercises performed on the first day.
The Azerbaijani group team – Nazrin Abdullayeva, Roya Alikishiyeva, Ayan Nasirrova, Shams Muveffeqi, and Nazrin Salmanli – performed two compositions with five hoops and five pairs of clubs.
The gymnasts scored a total of 40.400 points for both performances, taking 13th place in the all-around.
They also failed to qualify for the finals in the events. They were only two steps away from getting into the top "8" in the hoop exercises – our gymnasts finished in 10th place.

On the first day, our youth team will compete in group exercises. They will test their strength in both all-around and individual competitions. The Azerbaijani group, consisting of Nazrin Abdullayeva, Roya Alikishiyeva, Ayan Nasirrova, Shams Muveffeqi, and Nazrin Salmanli, will perform with two routines - five hoops and five pairs of clubs.
It should be noted that gymnasts from 39 countries will participate in the European Championship, which will end on June 8.
