Azerbaijani female sabre fencers have completed their performance at the stage competition of the World Cup held in Lima, the capital of Peru.
According to the Fencing Federation, "Report" informs that the team consisting of Palina Kaspiarovich, Sabina Karimova and Zarifa Huseynova lost to Japan, the finalist of the tournament, with a score of 37:45 in the 1/8 finals of the team competition.
In the matches for 9-16 places, the team won against Hong Kong with a score of 45:36, and lost to Spain with a score of 35:45. Azerbaijani sabre fencers lost to Germany with a score of 38:45 in the match for 11-12 places.
In the individual competition of female sabre fencers, Palina Kaspiarovich advanced to the strongest "16". Sabina Karimova and Zarifa Huseynova took the first "hundred" in the tournament with more than 140 participants.
