Maryam Huseynova, a member of the Azerbaijani national track cycling team, assessed her performance at the Open Championship of Kazakhstan.
In an interview with "Report", the athlete said that she participated in an international tournament for the first time.
She stated that the competition was both difficult and interesting:
"I participated in an international competition for the first time. I took third place overall in the championship in Kazakhstan. The competition was both difficult and interesting for me. I realized many of my mistakes and I must definitely work on them in the future. I will look forward to training camps and competitions. I will continue to try to wave our flag in international arenas in the future."
It should be noted that M. Huseynova took 3rd place in the overall classification among 38 participants in the omnium competitions among girls born in 2009-2010 in the sum of 3 movements. The athlete had previously won a bronze medal in the 200-meter sprint in this competition.
