The Azerbaijan national team in artistic gymnastics has entered the final stage of preparation for the European Championship.
Idman.biz reports that the main competition of the continent will be held on May 26-31 in Leipzig, Germany.
Our team includes Nikita Simonov, the winner of the overall World Cup in rings exercises, as well as Ivan Tikhonov, Rasul Ahmadzade, Mansum Safarov, Murad Agarzayev and Deniz Aliyeva.
In total, athletes from 37 countries will participate in the European Championship. 165 gymnasts among men and 136 among women will compete.
It should be noted that last year Simonov won the silver medal of the European Championship in rings exercises.
