Amrah Nagiyev, representing the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, distinguished himself with a successful performance at the national athletics championship held at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy stadium.
Idman.biz reports that he won two gold medals, taking first place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and the 5,000-meter run.
Thanks to his outstanding results, Amrah Nagiyev has been included in the Azerbaijani national team that will participate in the European Championship to be held in Slovenia on June 24.
It should be noted that Nagiyev became the first Nakhchivan athlete to achieve this success by qualifying for the European Championship.
