Rovshan Huseynli, the goalkeeper of the Azerbaijani national futsal team and the Kazakhstan's "Astana" club, reacted to his removal from the national team. Sport24.az reports that he wrote about this on his Facebook account.
Huseynli commented on the events as follows: "Although it was difficult to leave after two consecutive games, I left Astana for Baku on April 6 at 03:00 flight. I got home at 7-8 in the morning, and participated in the evening training at 21:00-23:00. After the training, I mentioned the obvious issues that were understood and applied to the next day's training at 12:00, asking "can I join the team?". I got a "No" answer, and I explained the reasons and went home. Although I came early to train, I am now out due to indiscipline. I have always served the national team with dignity. It will continue like this as long as I am invited. In my 20-year overall and 16-year professional career, none of the managers, coaches, board members, and teammates I have worked with can say that Rovshan has ever been undisciplined."
It should be noted that the head coach of the national team, Vitali Borisov, said in a statement to the press that Rovshan Huseynli was removed from the camp for violating the rules of discipline.
