The futsal tournament among faculties, dedicated to the 102nd anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev's birth and the 50th anniversary of the university's establishment, organized jointly by AFFA and the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction (AzUAC) within the UEFA "Hat-Trick" program, has concluded.
İdman.biz reports that in the match for 3rd place held in the university's sports hall, the team of the Construction College defeated the team of the Construction Faculty with a score of 4:3, winning the bronze medal of the tournament.
In the final, the team of the Transport Faculty faced the team of the Construction Economics Faculty. The main time of the game ended in a 1:1 draw. The team of the Transport Faculty, which was superior in the post-match penalty shootout, became the winner of the tournament.
The winning team was awarded a cup by AFFA, and the first 3 teams were awarded with appropriate medals.
Winners in various nominations were also determined in the tournament. Umid Rajabov, a player of the Transport team, was awarded the "Best Player", and Emin Aliyev, a player of the Construction College team, was awarded the "Best Goalkeeper" nomination. The awards and the cup were presented to the participants jointly by Farrukh Ismayilov, the head of the Mass Football Department of AFFA, Orkhan Naghdiyev, the vice-rector for social affairs and public relations of the Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction, and other officials.
