"My expectation from our mini-football national team in the game against Kazakhstan is only victory. I hope we will win today and qualify for the 1/4 finals." These words were said by Davud Karimi, the European champion in the mini-football national team, in an interview with Sport24.az.
He shared his views on the game against Kazakhstan as part of the 1/8 finals of the European Championship:
"The opponent, the Kazakhstan national team, does not seem as strong to me this time. The Kazakhstan national team we faced in Bosnia in 2024 was a more experienced and compact team. This time, I think their squad is relatively weaker. Our national team is both the European and world champion. They went to the championship in Slovakia as world champions. Our team participated in the tournament with the strongest squad. Elshad muallim formed the strongest possible squad for today. In my opinion, our national team will finish the tournament in the top "three". But my main expectation is the championship. The potential of our team allows this. Considering the team's successes in recent years, the fans' expectation of the championship is fully understandable."
It should be noted that the match will start at "Tipos Arena" at 00:00 Baku time.
