Max Verstappen, the "Red Bull" team driver in Formula 1, did not hide his dissatisfaction with the car's setup after the Canadian Grand Prix.
Idman.Biz reports that former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher stated that Verstappen now has the opportunity to prove that his approach is more correct at "Red Bull".
Despite reaching the podium in Canada, the Dutch driver was not satisfied with the balance of the RB22. According to him, the team did not implement the changes he suggested and believed that their chosen direction would yield results.
Schumacher said he did not consider it right for Verstappen to openly express this dissatisfaction on the "Backstage Boxengasse" podcast:
"Max didn't hide his words. He said, 'I told them everything was wrong'. It is clear from this that there is tension. On the one hand, I like that he says everything openly, but in reality, it should stay within the team."
The German expert added that "Red Bull" should now take Verstappen's opinions more seriously. According to him, since the team did not listen to the driver this time, the Dutch driver has a chance to show that his suggestions work.
"His first task is to get the car back on the right track. The team should listen to him. Now that they haven't done it once, Max has every opportunity to prove to himself and the team that his suggestions work," Schumacher emphasized.
