The traditional "Nürburgring 24 Hours" marathon, to be held from May 16 to 17, will be the scene of one of the most crowded races after a long time.
Idman.Biz reports that the tournament organizers have decided to lift the limit of 150 on the number of participating teams. This is due to the fact that 161 teams have applied to participate in the race.
Initially, the organizers announced that a selection process would be carried out to reduce the number to 150, but later it was decided that it would be fairer to allow all teams that spent resources preparing for the "Green Hell" to start.
It should be noted that "Formula 1" champion Max Verstappen will also participate in this marathon, which is considered one of the four major classic endurance races of the year. The official list of participants in the race will be announced by the end of the week.
