Former Formula 1 driver and current expert Martin Brundle has said that it will be difficult for four-time world champion Max Verstappen to leave the Red Bull team after the 2026 season.
Idman.Biz reports that he spoke about this to the F1oversteer portal.
According to Brundle, there are almost no vacancies in the lineups of the leading teams at the moment. He noted that the main teams are currently fully staffed and there are almost no vacancies. For example, George Russell and Kimi Antonelli perform for Mercedes, while McLaren has formed a stable and successful pilot duo. Ferrari has strong drivers such as Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton.
"If one of these places unexpectedly becomes vacant, an opportunity may arise for Max. But teams cannot easily discard their strong pilots. If he leaves Red Bull for results, we can only talk about one of these three teams," Brundle said.
