Xabi Alonso, who is preparing to take over at Chelsea, has made interesting statements about his future plans. Sport24.az reports that the 43-year-old Spanish specialist has called the London club a great project:
"This is a beautiful project. I'm excited and ready to start. We will build a good team."
The experienced coach also did not hide the fact that other giant clubs are showing great interest in Chelsea players. According to Alonso, Barcelona in particular is closely watching several stars of the "aristocrats":
"Big clubs are interested in our players. Barcelona especially wants to add Joao Pedro, Enzo Fernandes and Mark Cucurella to their squad."
The Spanish specialist avoided giving a concrete answer to a question about Real Madrid:
"Real? No, no, no... I can't say anything about it."
