Tensions are running high between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italy ahead of their playoff final for the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz, citing "SportMediaset," reports that the Bosnian side has sparked a major scandal, claiming that an Italian soldier secretly filmed their closed training session.

The incident occurred at the Bosnian national team's training base in Butmir. An Italian soldier wearing the uniform of the European Union peacekeeping force (EUFOR) was caught filming Edin Dzeko and his teammates with his smartphone from behind the fence while they were undergoing tactical preparation.

According to reports, the person did not leave the area even after the initial 15-minute period allotted for journalists had ended and continued filming. The Football Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has lodged an official complaint with EUFOR regarding the incident. Federation officials suspect that this may be a planned "espionage" activity to pass information to the Italian national team, led by Gennaro Gattuso.

However, defense sources have denied the allegations, stating that the soldier was simply serving at a nearby base and was filming for personal purposes as a football fan. An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
