Clarity has been brought to the condition of Sabah's football player Coy-Lens Mickels, who suffered a facial bone fracture in the return match (1:0) against Qarabag in the semi-final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup.
Club spokesman Elnur Hamidov told Idman.Biz that the 32-year-old player needed surgery.
"He has already undergone surgery. His condition is currently stable. The injury is not serious and the player is expected to return to the field in the near future," he said in a statement.
It should be noted that Coy-Lens Mickels has been one of Sabah's most productive players this season, scoring 26 goals and providing 10 assists in 32 official matches.
