A new offside rule, which has been discussed in the world of football for a long time and named after former Arsenal head coach Arsène Wenger, is officially starting to be tested. This revolutionary change will be implemented in the new season of the Canadian League (CPL), which will start on April 4.
Idman.Biz reports that the "Venger offside" is a rule that favors attackers. According to the current rules, if any part of the attacker's body (excluding the arm) is ahead of the last defender, an offside is recorded. The new rule completely changes this.

According to the new system, in order for a football player to be considered offside, he must be ahead of the last defender with his entire body. That is, if any part of the attacker's body is in line with the defender, the game will continue. This has been put forward in order to make football more attractive and increase the number of goals scored.
It should be noted that if the tests in Canada are successful, FIFA and IFAB (International Football Association Board) will consider applying this rule worldwide in the future.
