The 11-year-old team of Azerbaijan's "Ulduz" Football Academy has won the "Golden Sands Cup 2025" international football tournament held in Albena, Bulgaria, defeating all its rivals.
According to "Report", the Azerbaijani representative qualified for the semi-finals as the group winner after defeating "Kids" (Moldova) 3:0, "CFR Timisoara" (Romania) 9:0, and "Champion" (Ukraine) 12:1 in the group stage of the tournament, in which 12 teams from Bulgaria, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine competed.
Our team defeated Moldova's "Juppiter" (6:3) in the semi-finals and the host team "Cherno More" (1:0) in the final.
It should be noted that "Ulduz" FA, created on the initiative and support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports by attracting talented children aged 8 to 15, stands out with its successful performance in the national championship in a short time. The Ministry has been organizing international football tournaments for lower age groups in our country for 4 years. "Goal-15" was held in Baku, and "Ulduz Cup" was held in Guba.
In the "Ulduz Cup" international tournament, which will be held again in Guba soon, our country's "Ulduz" FA and "Qarabag", as well as Turkey's "Trabzonspor Scholl", Uzbekistan's "Pakhtakor", Georgia's "Dinamo" (Tbilisi), Kuwait's "Grand" FA, Kyrgyzstan's "Sdushorhsı, Kazakhstan's "Shakhtyor" FC (Karaganda) and Qatar's "Aspire Academy" teams will compete.
