The reasons for the departure of former head coach Enzo Maresca from the English football club Chelsea have become known. Sport24.az reports that, according to information released with reference to BBC Sport, the Italian specialist's departure from the London club was due to three main reasons.
Maresca did not agree with the management on transfer plans. He was concerned that he did not have enough say in the team's squad building. Earlier, The Guardian also wrote that Maresca wanted more influence on transfers within the club structure, while the Chelsea management had no intention of changing the existing management model.
The second issue that dissatisfied the Italian specialist was related to salary. The information noted that he had disagreements with the club management on salary issues. The third reason was the influence of the medical department on decisions regarding the participation of players in games. Maresca considered this interference in his work.
