Former Bayern Munich and Barcelona player Thiago Alcantara has left the coaching staff of the "Blaugrana".
Idman.Biz reports that this information was confirmed by Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick.
"I have spoken to the coaching staff and the players about my relationship with Thiago. One of the first things I had to do when I was assistant coach at Bayern and later head coach was reserve player Thiago, and it wasn't easy for either of us because he was a world-class player. I changed his game philosophy a bit, but his attitude, mindset and demeanor were incredible. And that is what I appreciate about working with him. He has a first-rate work ethic and he is fantastic. He has helped me a lot at Barcelona and has been incredible for the last two years. We will miss him, but I understand that he has his own plans and that is fine. I hope he comes back one day, because we need people like him in this business," - Football Espana quotes Flick.
Thiago Alcantara joined the coaching staff of the Catalan club in 2024. The specialist was responsible for tactical work in the team.
