The Spanish Association of Football Referees (AESAF) has filed a complaint with the Anti-Violence Commission against Real Madrid president Florentino Perez and the club's television channel.
Idman.Biz reports that the head of the "royal club" had previously made allegations of corruption against Spanish referees.
"As part of the line of institutional action promoted by AESAF to protect the dignity and integrity of Spanish referees, complaints have been filed against Mr. Perez, as well as Real Madrid television. The Association believes that the reiteration of certain public statements, as well as the continuous dissemination of content in which the club systematically questions or discredits the refereeing body, causes a decrease in respect for it. Respect is essential for the proper development of sports activity, and disrespect can lead to tension, hostility or violence against referees," AS said in a statement.
