Having parted ways with all its players and technical staff, "Shirvan" club will fight to get into the top "3" in the 2025/2026 season of the Azerbaijan Second League.
Idman.biz reports that this was stated to "Report" by the club's manager, Emin Mammadov.
He said that they have signed a new contract with the head coach: "The duration of the contracts of the players and technical staff with us was 1 year. Since this period has expired, we made the players free agents. On the other hand, there is the issue of the Second League. It is one level above the Regional League. In addition, we will sign contracts with some players from the previous squad. We have already signed a new contract with head coach Parviz Bayramov. He will also choose the players to be invited to the team. Because we will have demands from him and the main burden will fall on the head coach. Of course, he will also be responsible for the result. There are players we are negotiating with."
Emin Mammadov emphasized that preference will be given to local players: "We don't have a foreign transfer in our plans yet. We mainly want to give preference to local and more experienced players. I think there are enough local players and it will increase even more this year. Because as the number of legionnaires increases in the upper leagues, the locals are left out. Among them, there will be football players who can play in the Second League. "Shirvan" has never played in these 3 leagues. Our goal in the new season is to win the championship, at least to be in the top "three". When we played in the Regional League, we also transferred local players. The goal was to get promoted to the Second League. You also have to fight to get promoted to the First League. True, we may have difficulties in this regard in the first season. In any case, our goal remains the same."
It should be noted that "Shirvan" has won the right to play in the Azerbaijan Second League in the 2025/2026 season.
