Azerbaijani swimmer Nusrat Allahverdi has become a world champion.
Idman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that the 18-year-old athlete won a gold medal for the Turkish national team at the World Championship among youth in Romania.
He finished the 50-meter breaststroke swimming competition in 26.98 seconds, reaching the finish line faster than anyone else and climbing to the highest step of the podium.
It should be noted that Nusrat Allahverdi won first place in the same type of swimming at the European Championship held in Lithuania last year.
