Zaur Hashimov, head coach of Shafa club in Baku, commented on the 1-2 defeat against Kapaz in the ninth round of the Misli Premier League.
İdman.Biz reports that the expert stated that his team started the match unsuccessfully again, but took control of the initiative after the break and got ahead on the scoreboard. However, Shafa failed to maintain the lead, conceded two goals, and faced another defeat.
"Unfortunately, I have to comment on another defeat. We started the game poorly, but we recovered. The advantage was on our side in the second half; we scored a goal and took the lead. After a failed episode, a penalty was awarded against our goal, the equalizer was scored, and then they scored another goal," said Hashimov.
The head coach also touched on the psychological tension that hinders the players from achieving results:
"The players are overly tense and cannot get out of this situation in any way. We are not having a positive impact on the game. Last round, too, we were leading on the scoreboard, but lost at the end. I do not know if this is due to inexperience or bad luck, but the situation is frustrating. It is very difficult for us right now."
