Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim has commented on his role at the club after the 1-1 draw with Leeds United in the 20th round of the English Premier League.
Idman.Biz reports that the Portuguese specialist, in an interview with ESPN, stated that he came to the club not purely as a coach, but as a manager, and that he has an agreement to work in this capacity for 18 months.
"I came here not to be the coach of Manchester United, but to be the manager, and that's obvious. I know my name is not Tuchel, not Conte, not Mourinho, but I am the manager of Manchester United. And that will be the case for 18 months, or until the management changes me. I will do my job, the scouts, the sports director and all departments must also do their job. I will work for 18 months, then we'll see. I have no intention of leaving. I will stay until someone comes to replace me. This is part of the agreement. My job is not to be a coach," said Amorim.
It should be noted that after 20 rounds in the Premier League, Manchester United is in fifth place in the standings with 31 points.
