Spain's "Real Madrid" football team has faced a serious loss ahead of the "El Clasico" match against "Barcelona".
Idman.Biz reports, citing "Marca", that the main goalkeeper of Madrid, Thibaut Courtois, will not take part in the 10th round match of La Liga because he has contracted the flu.
According to the club's statement, the Belgian player's health does not allow him to play. Ukrainian Andrey Lunin will take his place. Following Courtois's absence, Ilya Voronin has also been included in the match squad.
This will be the first championship match Courtois will miss in the 2026/2027 season. He has appeared in all of the previous nine rounds.
Recall that the "Barcelona" – "Real Madrid" match will take place on October 25 at the "Spotify Camp Nou" stadium. The game will start at 23:59.
