Former Sevilla football club player Sergio Ramos's plan to buy the club may not materialize.
Idman.Biz reports that the investor group led by the 39-year-old Spaniard has changed the previously agreed terms at the final stage. Ramos's side has withdrawn from the initial agreement of 450 million euros (900 million AZN) and offered a lower amount.
According to reports, the new offer is approximately 220 million euros (440 million AZN). The plan involves acquiring 30,000 shares instead of 86,000 shares and increasing capital by 120 million euros (240 million AZN) instead of 80 million euros (160 million AZN). In this case, Ramos could control approximately 60 percent of Sevilla.
However, a large portion of the club's main shareholders consider these terms unacceptable. Some of them are already close to starting a search for a new buyer. The final response regarding the negotiations is expected no later than May 31.
"ElDesmarque" also writes that Ramos's new offer has changed the previous agreement. According to the source, the process is "up in the air," and there is very little time for the parties to reach an agreement.
