Sergio Ramos, who is still fighting to buy the Spanish football club Sevilla, is also working to bring Barcelona's young striker Toni Fernandes to the team.
İdman.Biz reports that one of the main targets in Ramos' future Sevilla project is the 17-year-old footballer. Toni Fernandes, who has a contract with Barcelona until 2027, is considered one of the most promising strikers of "La Masia".
It is believed that Toni Fernandes' stage at "Barcelona Atletic" is over. The Catalan club is looking for a more competitive environment for his development. Hans-Dieter Flick had previously involved the young footballer in the main team's preparation process. He made his debut in the main team on January 4, 2025, in the Spanish Cup match against "Barbastro", at that time he was 16 years, five months, and 17 days old.
Sevilla, on the other hand, intends to rejuvenate the attack line and build a project calculated for the future. In this regard, Toni Fernandes seems like a suitable profile for the Andalusian club's plans. It is also claimed that Ramos will bring Mark Boyxasa to the fore to renew the sports structure in the team.
It is noted that the transfer will not be easy. Barcelona does not want to lose control over the player. For this reason, a lease, a sale with a buy-back clause, or a mixed formula may be on the agenda in the negotiations.
It should be noted that the investor group led by Ramos changed the previously agreed terms regarding the purchase of "Sevilla" in the final stage. Ramos' side withdrew from the initial 450 million euro (900 million AZN) agreement and offered a lower amount.
According to the information, the new offer is approximately 220 million euros (440 million AZN). The plan envisages buying 30,000 shares instead of 86,000 shares and increasing capital by 120 million euros (240 million AZN) instead of 80 million euros (160 million AZN). In this case, Ramos can control approximately 60 percent of Sevilla.
