Nodar Mammadov: "Our goal in the Second League was only the championship and we achieved it"

"It is a great joy for us to be the champion of the Second League. We suffered a lot during the season." These words were said by "Khankendi" football player Nodar Mammadov in his statement to Sport24.az.

The former player of the Azerbaijani national team shared his impressions about his team becoming the champion in the Second League:

"The management, coaching staff, administrative staff and football players did their best for this success. It is a source of pride to see the fruits of our labor. Winning the Second League for the second time in a row is a completely different feeling. Our goal in the Second League was only the championship and we achieved it. Nothing has been said about the First League yet. The championship has just ended. God willing, the team's goals will be announced to the players during the preparation period."

The experienced defender talked about his future career:

"As for my contract, the agreement has expired and there have been no negotiations yet. We are currently celebrating the championship, waiting for the medal and the cup. After that, everything will be clear who will stay, who will leave. Thank God, my physical form is good. When I feel that I can no longer keep up in duels, I will end my career then."

It should be noted that "Khankendi" will compete in the First League in the new "football year".
