Neymar may make his debut in the 2026 World Cup against Scotland.
Sport.News reports that head coach Carlo Ancelotti plans to give the 34-year-old player a few minutes of playing time in the third round of the group stage. This was reported by "The Touchline".
According to the source, the Italian specialist believes that Neymar can replace the injured Rafinha on the field. Ancelotti is not entirely sure if 19-year-old Ryan is a more suitable choice for the same position.
Neymar has not played in the first two rounds of the 2026 World Cup. He missed the games against Morocco and Haiti due to a calf muscle injury. Earlier, Ancelotti announced that the Brazilian striker had returned to general group training and may be ready for the match against Scotland.
Note that the Brazil - Scotland match will take place on June 25.
