New sports ground for children opened in Icherisheher

The opening ceremony of the new sports ground in Icherisheher, jointly organized by "Sabah" Football Club and the Administration of "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve, took place.

Idman.Biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that Rufat Mahmudov, Chairman of the Board of the Administration of "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve, speaking at the event, stated that the new ground is important for the effective organization of children's leisure time and healthy growth. He noted that children living in Icherisheher had difficulty finding a suitable place to play football until now. "Children will now be able to play sports comfortably on their own playground. I believe that this place will be used by both children and adults. The healthy growth of the younger generation is very important for our future," R. Mahmudov emphasized.

Giorgi Minashvili, coordinator of the "Sabah" Football Academy, a Georgian expert, spoke about the importance of the project and expressed his satisfaction with joining the initiative. "This project aims to create new opportunities for young children. Here they will have the opportunity to lead a healthy lifestyle, practice football and develop their skills. It is possible that some of the children training on this field will play in big clubs in the future," he said.

G. Minashvili expressed hope that such initiatives will be implemented in other areas of Baku in the future.

Aliheydar Dadashov, Chairman of the Council of Elders of "Icherisheher", assessed the commissioning of the new sports ground as a significant event for the residents. He expressed his gratitude to the management of the Administration of "Icherisheher" State Historical-Architectural Reserve for the implementation of the project.
