Mykhailo Mudryk, a member of the English football team Chelsea and the Ukrainian national team, is facing a doping scandal. The footballer has been banned from the green fields for four years due to the discovery of a prohibited substance in his body.
Idman.Biz reports that if the 22-year-old midfielder does not receive a positive response from his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), his sentence will remain in effect until December 2028. During this period, Mykhailo Mudryk will not be able to participate in any official tournaments at both club and national team levels.
It should be noted that the player's professional football activity has been completely suspended until the decision is finalized. Currently, the footballer's lawyers are preparing the relevant documents to reduce or cancel the sentence.
