Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen spoke about his former teammate Lionel Messi. Sport24.az reports that the German goalkeeper said he has special respect for the 37-year-old forward:
"There have been times when he was angry with me and I was angry with him, we didn't talk. I have always had great respect for Messi. He often respected my opinion as well.
I think Messi is perhaps the only player who can say whatever he wants to your face. Others talk about everything. But Lionel has the ability to hit the target with words. I have felt this several times.
Messi is still a super football player and plays with a calmness that I have never seen in anyone in my career. He can make everyone a clown with his passing and attack."
It should be noted that Messi played for Barcelona from 2004 to 2021. Ter Stegen has been wearing the uniform of the Catalan team since 2014.
