In November, the English Premier League clubs will vote on the introduction of a system that limits spending on salaries and transfers.
This was reported by Idman.Biz, citing The Times.
This restriction implies that each club's expenses should not exceed more than five times the prize money and television revenue earned during the season. For example, for "Sheffield United", which finished last season in 20th place (with approximately £109.5 million in revenue), the upper limit would be approximately £550 million.
"Manchester United" and "Manchester City" have opposed this idea, believing that such a restriction could reduce their competitiveness and negatively affect the overall state of English football. They also express concerns that the penalty point system could be too harsh and unfair.
