"Manchester City" has renamed the reconstructed North Stand of the "Etihad" stadium as the "Pep Guardiola Stand". Sport24.az reports that this was announced by the press service of the "citizens".
The club's management considered it necessary to take this step, taking into account the Catalan specialist's 10 years of successful activity at the club. The stand will feature the club logo and inscriptions such as "turning point" and "Creator of history". Reconstruction work on the stand will begin after the last match of the season, the match against Aston Villa. This will also be the last match for the 55-year-old coach at Manchester City.
It should be noted that Guardiola officially leaves the club at the end of the season. Under his leadership, "Manchester City" has not only become the champion of the Premier League 6 times, but also won the FA Cup and Super Cup three times, the League Cup five times, as well as the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.
