Former Germany international striker and co-owner of Polish club "Gornik" Lukas Podolski has ended his football career.
Idman.Biz reports that the club announced this on its social media account.
"A chapter has closed. A new era begins. World champion Lukas Podolski will end his successful career this weekend. He will become the owner of his childhood club, "Gornik". Thank you for everything, Poldi!" - the Polish club said in a statement.
During his playing career, Podolski played for clubs such as "Cologne", "Bayern Munich", "Arsenal", "Inter", "Galatasaray", "Vissel Kobe", "Antalyaspor" and "Gornik". Podolski became world champion with the German national team in 2014.
