Interesting facts about the childhood years of PSG head coach Luis Enrique have emerged. Sport24.az reports that Jose Maria Fernandes de Brito, the Spanish specialist's first futsal coach, spoke to RMC about his youth and character.
According to the coach, Enrique stood out from his peers with his strong leadership qualities when he was only 7 years old and had a say in the team:
"When he was naughty, Abelardo (Luis Enrique's childhood friend and former teammate) always ran and hid first. But Luis was different. He stood in front like a real leader, saying I take responsibility and we will do this."
De Brito also recalled the experienced coach's radical attitude towards Real Madrid as a child. He recounts the moment when an acquaintance who was a fan of the "royal club" told young Luis that "a white jersey would suit you":
"Luis immediately stood up and stated harshly: If you wear a Real Madrid jersey, I will never talk to you again."
Despite this great childhood intolerance, fate has brought it about that Luis Enrique's professional career has intersected with Real Madrid. His former coach jokingly added that it was impossible to refuse an offer from the "royal club" at that time.
However, De Brito emphasized that Enrique's heart has always beaten with Barcelona and that his years in Madrid were not easy for him psychologically.
It should be noted that Luis Enrique, who currently leads PSG, is preparing to reach the Champions League final for the second time in a row with the Paris representative.
