Argentina international Lionel Messi, in his last match for the squad, faced off against his former teammate Benítez and defeated him. Sport24.az reports that the match held at the "Monumental" stadium in Buenos Aires ended with a 3:0 victory for the hosts.
Messi not only executed a precise penalty in the 71st minute, but also delivered two productive passes. He set up Nikola Otamendi's goal in the 48th minute and Niko Paz's goal in the 61st minute.
It should be noted that this match was also Otamendi's last appearance for the Argentina national team.
