Tottenham Hotspur defender Kristian Romero is close to joining Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
Idman.Biz reports this according to journalist Nicolo Schira.
„A principal agreement has been reached between Kristian Romero and Atletico Madrid on a contract until 2030 (6 million euros per year), with an option to extend until 2031. Atletico are currently in talks with Tottenham about the contract. Tottenham are demanding 40-45 million euros for the central defender, even though the defender has already requested a transfer“, - Schira wrote.
In the 2025/2026 English Premier League season, 28-year-old Kristian Romero played in 23 matches, scored four goals and made one assist. He also played in eight Champions League matches, scoring one goal and making two assists.
