"I don't like to talk about contract issues during the season."
This was stated by "Karvan-Yevlakh"'s Portuguese goalkeeper Pedro Mateus in an interview with futbolinfo.az.
We present the interview.
– In the next round, you have a match against "Neftchi". Will you have the strength to surprise?
– Of course, we have the strength. Even in difficult times, we believe in ourselves. We know that "Neftchi" is a strong team. But we will prepare well against them and fight to win points. We will approach this meeting with great ambition.
– There are only four rounds left until the end of the season and you are six points behind "Gabala" in 11th place. Will you be able to perform a miracle and stay in the league?
– It's not easy, but we still believe. There are still points we can win and anything can happen in football. Our focus is on winning our games and fighting until the last round. As long as we have a mathematical chance, we will not give up.
– Your contract with "Karvan-Yevlakh" will expire in the summer. Although the team performed poorly, you managed to make a name for yourself in Azerbaijan with your confident game. Have you received offers from other clubs or other countries? Where do you plan to spend the next season?
– I don't like to talk about contract issues during the season. We still have important games ahead, it would be unprofessional for me to talk about it. Currently, I am fully focused on helping "Karvan-Yevlakh" until the end of the season. Then we will see what happens.
