Gabala defeated Shamakhi 3-1 in their home stadium in the last - 33rd round of the 2025/26 season of the Misli Premier League. Sport24.az reports that the head coach of the "red-blacks", Kakhaber Tskhadadze, expressed his views at the press conference held after the match:

- We did not make any tactical changes because we did not know who the opponent was. We will know the opponent tomorrow. We will have time to prepare for the game. We are watching the games of all potential opponents.

- We will prepare for the game. Sabail plays with three central defenders. Mingachevir's tactical scheme changes in some matches.

- This is a very important game. I hope that the match will be held in a stadium at the Premier League level, on a field with natural grass cover. There are good stadiums in Baku, Sumgayit, Tovuz. As far as I know, Tovuz city stadium is closed for repairs. I believe that the game will be held in a good stadium.
