Jesse Marsch has extended his contract with the Canadian national team until 2030, ahead of the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by the press service of the local federation, Sport24.az reports.
Marsch has been in charge of Canada since May 2024. Under his leadership, the team reached the quarter-finals of the CONCACAF Gold Cup last year.
The Canadian national team will play a friendly match against Uzbekistan in Edmonton on June 1. On June 5, Marsch's team will host Ireland in Montreal.
It should be noted that Canada will play its first match at the 2026 World Cup on June 12 against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The North American representative will face Qatar on June 19 and Switzerland on June 24.
