Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford has officially joined Leeds United.

According to information released in the media, the transfer fee is approximately 40 million pounds sterling (47 million euros), which is a record amount for an English goalkeeper.
James Trafford is a product of Manchester City's youth system. He played for Accrington Stanley, Bolton and Burnley before returning to City in 2025. Last season, Trafford played 17 games for the club and kept eight clean sheets.
Leeds United finished 14th in the English Premier League table last season.
