Gennaro Gattuso, the 2006 World Champion, has been appointed as the head coach of the Italian national football team.
"Report" reports that the press service of the national team has released information about this.
He replaced Luciano Spalletti, who has been in charge since 2023.
"Gattuso is a symbol of Italian football. His motivation, professionalism and experience will be essential for the national team to best cope with the tasks ahead. Understanding the importance of the goal we want to achieve, I thank him for accepting this challenge," said Gabriele Gravina, President of the Italian Football Federation.
