Dusseldorf "Fortuna", playing in the German II Bundesliga, is considering "signing" Mahir Emreli, the forward of the Azerbaijani national team. Sport24.az, referring to "Bild", reports that "Fortuna" is considering several candidates to replace Icelandic Isak Johannesson, whom they sold to "Cologne" for 5.5 million euros some time ago.
Among the candidates are Emreli, who parted ways with "Nuremberg", and Cedric Itten from the Swiss representative "Young Boys".
Fortuna's sporting director Klaus Allofs stated in his statement that not all of the funds from the sale of Johannesson will be spent on new transfers.
