The first statement has been made after the court decision issued against Sadettin Saran, president of Turkey's "Fenerbahçe" football club, and his brother Alan Kenan Saran.
İdman.Biz reports that Serdar Yiğit, the lawyer for the Saran brothers, stated that the decision has not yet become final. According to Turkish media, the Istanbul 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance sentenced them to two years and six months in prison and a judicial fine of 562,500 Turkish Liras (20.8 thousand AZN) on charges of "encouraging individuals to advertise or gamble illegally through various means."
In his written statement, Serdar Yiğit noted that the decision regarding Sadettin Saran and Kenan Saran would be evaluated by a higher court.
It should be noted that since the decision is not final, the process concerning the Saran brothers will continue at the appeal stage.
