"Everton" representatives are preparing to sue the Premier League to clarify how "Chelsea" avoided serious sporting punishment.
Lent.az reports, citing foreign media, that "Chelsea" club was fined £10.75 million and received a conditional transfer ban for voluntarily disclosing £47.5 million in previously undisclosed payments to players and agents between 2011 and 2018.
"Everton" is currently seeking legal advice and considering all possible courses of action. Although "Chelsea" reached an agreement with the Premier League, this decision has caused widespread concern among other rival clubs.
It should be noted that in the 2023/24 season, "Everton" themselves lost 8 points for violating the Premier League's profitability and sustainability rules. The commission investigating that case clearly stated that the excess costs gave the club a sporting advantage.
However, such a statement was not included in the decision regarding "Chelsea", although the West London representative achieved significant success in those years.
It is precisely this alleged inconsistency that is considered the main reason why "Everton" wants to challenge the decision in court.
