Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has donated an expensive book to the municipality of Time, Norway, where he was born.
According to "Report", citing "Stavanger Aftenblad," the experienced forward, together with his father Alfie, purchased a rare copy of Snorre Sturlason's "King's Sagas," published in 1594.
The book is valued at 1.3 million Norwegian kroner (approximately $135,000). Haaland admitted that he is not a big fan of reading, but said that preserving the historical heritage of his homeland is important to him.
It should be noted that this is considered the most expensive book in Norway. The rare copy will be kept in the Time municipality, where the 27-year-old striker was born and raised.
