Andrew Giuliani, executive director of the White House's World Cup 2026 Working Group, has stated that the Democratic Republic of Congo national team must isolate for 21 days due to the Ebola outbreak in the country, otherwise they risk being barred from participating in the World Cup.
İdman.Biz reports that the World Cup will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
"We have made it very clear to the Democratic Republic of Congo that they must maintain the integrity of their bubble for 21 days before traveling to Houston on June 11th. We have also made it very clear to the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo that they must not break that isolation, or they risk being barred from traveling to the United States.
We couldn't be clearer. We want to make sure that no virus enters or approaches our territory," ESPN quotes Giuliani.
