The Central African Republic (CAR) national team's visas for the trip to the USA have been processed, and the team should travel to Mexico on June 1 to prepare for the World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that this was announced by CAR's Minister of Sports, Arts, and Culture, Guyton McKenzie, on the social network "X".
The team's flight, which was scheduled for Sunday, was postponed the day before. This was because several players and delegation members were unable to obtain their visas.
"All members of the national team have received their visas for travel to the USA. The assistant coach, the team doctor, the head of security, and an analyst are still waiting for visas," McKenzie wrote.
The minister previously called the situation regarding the postponed flight "disgraceful and blatantly unfair."
It should be noted that the CAR national team will face the national teams of Mexico, the Czech Republic, and the Republic of Korea in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.

The Central African Republic (CAR) Football Association has announced the delay in the national team's flight to Mexico to participate in the 2026 World Cup.
Idman.Biz reports that this was due to visa problems for a number of players and official members of the delegation. For this reason, the team was unable to travel to North America on the previously scheduled date.
The Association stated that work is being done around the clock to resolve the situation and that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure that the team travels to the tournament as soon as possible.
Until departure, the CAR national team will continue training in Johannesburg.
It should be noted that the 2026 World Cup will be held in the USA, Mexico, and Canada from June 11 to July 19. In the group stage, the CAR team's opponents will be the national teams of Mexico, the Czech Republic, and the Republic of Korea.
